Ohe'o gluch and Waimoku Falls

My summer bucket list is on it's way to being checked off. #2 is done.

One day we headed to the Haleakala National Park at the end of road to Hana. Here we found Ohe'o gulch (seven sacred pools) and the Waimoku Falls. Parking is $10 for a car load.

Getting to the amazing waterfall was a moderately rugged hike. Make sure you take good shoes that can get wet. The hike is about 2 miles each way. They say it takes about an hour each way. I didn't have a watch so I'm not sure how long it took us. I took my underwater camera and snapped some pictures but not enough as my battery was dying. Yep I forgot to charge it. During the hike you can see the upper pools.

The Ohe'o Gluch to the lower pools is a shorter hike but you have to climb over some rocks to get over to some of the pools.  After hiking to the Waimoku Falls I was just too tired to go over to the other pools so I just sat on the rocks.  I need to learn to be nimble like a mountain goat. Ha!

umm yah photos taken looking up don't exactly make you thinner.  Ha!

We were tiny compared to it.

Would you jump from that bridge down?

Making my towel a fashionable scarf....not.  Ha!

Slippery rocks

1. Stay at a hotel or condo on the beach (I know I live close, but I want to feel like a tourist so we plan on having a staycation)
2. Seven sacred pools and Waimoku Falls (we have driven past but for some reason haven't stopped. I'm not sure why.)
3. Umm well all the waterfalls on Maui
3. Helicopter tour
4. More snorkeling
5. Enjoy the beach more
6. Weekend trip to Kauai
7. Weekend  trip in Kula
8. Hiking (been begging friends to take me)
9. Eat at more local restaurants
10. Haleakala sunrise and sunset
11. Luau
12. Trip to Lanai

Lately

So several blog or instagram people that I follow have sold their houses quickly.  I mean most are already moving into the their new home.

Have you had experience in selling quick?  Does it involve pricing your home very smartly?  Of course.  Or I'm curious did they price their homes low?

It's been on my mind because I'm ready to sell our place.  Ok, ok, ok not really ready. I mean mentally I'm ready but our place still needs a lot done.  I have found that turnkey places are the ones that sell the quickest.

We are almost done with the kitchen cabinets.  I will definately share the progress we made.

Other than that I'm still exhausted.

Take care lovelies!

Skinless

I dislike when people say you need to be more thick-skinned.  Instead why can't people just say let's be skinless? Just imagine if we didn't have the armor of the Internet, or car or anominity.  We should be aware that our words affect others and at all times we should be kind and respectful.  I want to live ny life with grace, integrity and peace.

Will you join me in being skinless?

Maui Ocean Center

May was 1/2 priced for Hawaii residents so we decided to finally see the Maui Ocean Center.

We are always trying to save money.

At a normal price I thought it was a bit pricey -- but what isn't here and on vacation? But I think it's a good place to go to see and learn about all of Hawaii's sea life.

It seriously was like snorkeling without getting wet. How great is that?

I love honus (which are turtles in Hawaiian)

And seahorses! Oh they were shy

Sting rays

And sharks oh my!

Things that glowed like coral and jelly fish

Upside down jelly fish

Fish that looked like stones or coral

Oh and so many under the sea delights

What fun it was!

Take care lovelies!
